Wind power cost per watt

wind power cost per wattcapacity of solar cells?

hi! I’m from the Philippines, and I’ve been looking for solar panels for our house. However, I’ve cost PHP80 found, 000 (which is about U.S. $ 1,800) for each panel of eight square meters that is capable of producing 80 watts. the engineer of the seller, said only is strong enough to power three fluorescent bulbs for a couple of hours. even if I bought a bunch of panels, will still not be enough to consider all our home we have a ref. this is the normal capacity and the cost of …

Kilowatt Hour

located in Canada]]

The kilowatt hour, or kilowatt-hour, (symbol kW h, kW h) is a unit of energy equal to 1000 watt hours or 3.6 megajoules.

For constant power, energy in watt hours is the multiplication of power in watts and time in hours.

The kilowatt hour is most commonly known as a billing unit for energy delivered to consumers by electric utilities.

Definition The standard unit of energy in the International System of Units (SI) is the joule (J), equal to one watt second.

Inversely, one watt is equal to 1 J/s. …

Residential Solar and Wind Systems: What Are the Costs?

… run smack into sticker shock. Wind turbine systems can run as high as $65,000 installed. A 2 kilowatt (kw) grid-tied system (no battery back up) can run to $16,000, a 5 kw upwards of $40,000. Deep cycle back-up batteries for both wind and solar can add on 20 to 30 percent more. You might be able to save around $2 per watt by doing the work yourself, however, cost-saving energy efficiency programs may have certification requirements.

But don’t give up!

Because both residential and commercial demand for wind and solar energy is increasing, the technology is improving. There are more manufacturers, and the price is dropping. The cost of an average solar panel in …

Xcel Proposes Changes to Solar Rebate Program — Colorado Energy News

… their monthly bills.

State law stipulates that all solar energy systems receive a $2 per watt rebate. They’re also eligible for a payment for the “Renewable Energy Credit,” or REC, associated with the renewable energy that’s generated. REC payments are 11 cents per kilowatt hour for installations owned by third parties and sized from one to 100 kilowatts. For systems producing 10 to 100 kilowatts, the REC payment is 11.5 cents per kilowatt hour. For larger installations capable of generating 100 to 500 kilowatts, the $2 rebate is capped at $200,000, and the REC payment is 12.5 cents.

Solar energy systems owned by the homeowner will still get a $2 …

Home Wind Power Kits

… first part is called the turbine Rutland 503 which is ideal and has the ability to produce 60 watt which would power roughly 5 or 6 energy saving light bulbs. Luckily since the energy is stored in a battery you can later on use it with equipment that requires a higher amount of power.

Then you have the rigging which is 1m of steeling tubing. That is used to mount the turbine however it is up to you to mount it on a suitable location. Next you have the cable which is 10 meters you use this to run between the turbine and the regulator. The regulator is hrs503 which is specifically made for the turbine that is in this kit.
